Chris Butler (Director, Screenwriter, Character Designer)
Chris Butler was Director and Writer of LAIKA’s ParaNorman and Missing Link. Aside from developing his own projects, he was Head of Story and writer on Kubo and the Two Strings, and Story Supervisor on Coraline. Prior to LAIKA, Chris amassed a decade’s worth of experience designing and storyboarding on numerous high-profile animated projects, including Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride. He has been nominated for Academy Awards®, BAFTAs, Annie Awards, and garnered the first GLAAD Award nomination for an animated feature. He won the Golden Globe for Missing Link.
