THR Animators Roundtable

For the first time, The Hollywood Reporter brings its acclaimed Animation Roundtable to a live audience, in partnership with Animation Is Film. Join seven of the filmmakers behind this year’s most anticipated animated features for an intimate conversation about creative vision, filmmaking craft and the forces shaping animation today, moderated by THR’s Scott Roxborough.

Participants include Bill Hader, star and executive producer of The Cat in the Hat; Travis Knight, director of Wildwood; Louis Clichy, director of Iron Boy; Joel Crawford, co-director of Forgotten Island; Leah Nelson, director of Tangles; Phuong Mai Nguyen, director of In Waves; and Fawn Veerasunthorn, co-director of Hexed.

Together, they’ll explore the ideas, artistry and industry conversations behind their films, from the evolving language of animation and the influences shaping the medium to new technologies, changing audiences and the possibilities for animated cinema in the years ahead.
