Knights of Guinevere – Encore Screening

For the first time in the festival’s history, AIF kicks off the weekend with an animated series, the world-first theatrical premiere of the first two episodes of Dana Terrace’s Knights of Guinevere from GLITCH Productions, following Episode 1.02’s online debut.

Co-created by Dana Terrace, John Bailey Owen, and Zach Marcus (who had previously worked together on the Disney Channel’s The Owl House), Knights of Guinevere is a psychological thriller aimed squarely at adult audiences. Set in the shadow of Park Planet, a delightfully futuristic theme park in the sky, Knights of Guinevere follows Frankie and Andi, two engineers with big dreams to leave the dregs of Surface-living behind and ascend to better lives. When they discover Gwen, a lost and broken Princess Guinevere android from the park, they believe they’ve found the solution to all their problems… But the more they fix Gwen the more cracks are revealed in her perfect facade revealing horrifying truths about their world that none of them are ready to confront.

Knights of Guinevere is the first 2D animated series from Australian independent animation studio GLITCH Productions (The Gaslight District and The Amazing Digital Circus). Its pilot, launched in September 2025, was an instant success with both critics and audiences, surpassing 8 million views in its first two days. Animation Is Film is enormously proud to present episodes 1.01 and 1.02 on the big screen, for the first time anywhere, and celebrate an artist and studio at the forefront of a new era in adult animation.

The screening will be followed by a panel/Q&A featuring creator Dana Terrace.
